CEDAR CITY – Cedar City Animal Control is searching for the owner of nine puppies abandoned in a cardboard box along Mountain View Drive last week.

They were all found in excellent health and are currently being held at the Cedar City Animal Shelter. After five days, they will be released into the care of the H.A.R.T. of Utah rescue organization and eventually adopted.

Officer Zac Banz said the puppies are believed to be an Australian Kelpie mix, approximately 6 weeks old.

Authorities are trying to locate the owner, who is facing multiple animal cruelty charges. This is an open investigation.

If you have any information, please contact Cedar City Animal Control at 435-586-2960 or [email protected].

It is frustrating when liberals abandon animals. It happens way to often.

Love it Mr. Segesman, what we know and what we don’t… The other day, M. Kessler did an informative story about someone being booked into jail for 13 counts of animal cruelty, we don’t know if Mr. Jacobs is a liberal or what, we do know this was in St. George Utah, which is not mainly a constituency of liberals, but when you take a step back you can read about a van found in D-Ohio–van’s are not normally politically polarized, and the fifty dogs they found abandoned in it were split nearly evenly down the middle, as 22 were pit-liberals, 21of them were German-Shepard hard-line-republicans, and 7 of them were Bull-independents, but, they were all evenly crested in feces–k-9 conspiracy? Probably. Now we all know Ohio is a bleeding heart liberal state, at 3-10, assuming liberal means democrats? but here’s the thing, when you read a bit further, the charges are being filed against and Amish fellow, who I guess we can assume what every we want about, it’s not like he can just tweet his side of the story, last I heard miss Morgan was still trying to e-mail him for an interview but her browser was not compatible with butter-churner 2.0. But I totally love the logic here. I gota say, I love this newspaper, I’m totally hoked..
