ST. GEORGE – Just before 4 p.m. Monday, a black sedan traveling westbound on East 100 South adjacent to the Red Rock Commons shopping center in St. George rolled and came to rest on the landscaping embankment below the shopping center buildings.

The car was traveling westbound toward the River Road intersection when the accident happened.

“It appears that the vehicle was just coming along 100 South a little too fast for the turn,” St. George Police Officer David Slack said, “hit the curb and proceeded to roll.”

Although the accident looked really bad and one person was transported to the hospital, there were no serious injuries, Slack said.

No other vehicles were involved in the accident and there were no other contributory factors cited.

This report is based on preliminary information provided by the police offer at the scene and may not contain the full scope of findings.
