HURRICANE CITY — New Year’s morning, a person was found dead inside a travel trailer in Hurricane City after the fire was put out. There were two people reported to be in the trailer but the second person was able to escape from the fire.
Around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, Hurricane City Fire Department and Hurricane City Police Department responded to a report of a structure fire near 237 West State Street. Upon arrival, the Fire Department found the trailer, apparently being used as a residence, fully engulfed in flames, Hurricane City Sgt. Brandon Buell said in a statement. After the fire department put the fire out the deceased person was found.
The cause of the fire is unknown but an investigation is underway.
Traffic on State Street was shut down for a period of time during the fire.
“This is an unfortunate tragedy and our hearts go out to the family involved,” Buell said.
Ed. Note: This report is based on preliminary information provided by the police and may not include the full scope of findings.

Perhaps Mr. Hyde can do an editorial bashing the Hurricane cops for this arrest.
Haha exactly! Because you know, setting fire to a trailer with someone in it is NOT universally dangerous. It’s a violation of my civil rights to tell me I can’t torch an occupied trailer!!
that would be great, because things aren’t adding up in this story.
Those trailers are crappy…fire traps
