(January 31, 1962 – December 15, 2013)
Kathy Ann Knudsen Allgood 51, succumbed to cancer on Sunday, December 15, 2013. She was born in Logan Utah to Robert G. and Roma Johnson Knudsen (St. George, Utah). Kathy married Jordan Jay Allgood on August 16, 1983 in the LDS Temple in Oakland, California. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Jordan (2003).
Kathy was raised in Fresno California and later moved away to attend BYU where she received her Bachelor’s in Fine Arts. She then taught art at multiple schools including Pine View Middle, Desert Hills Intermediate, and Panorama Elementary. She also spent countless hours painting a 40 ft mural at Panorama as well a portrait wall at a local Dr. Clinic they are both on display. Kathy had three main passions which were her family, religion, and art. She was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and friend.
Kathy is survived by her daughter: Amber (Robert) Jensen, Trent (Kari) and grandchild Vivian Allgood, Quinn (Courtney) Allgood. Kathy’s siblings, Todd (Tanya) Knudsen, Linda (Ray) Sahagun, Mark (Andrea) Knudsen, Lori (Cory) Pope, and Chad (Barbara) Knudsen.
She is also survived by Jordan’s parents Jay R. and Roberta Thaxton Allgood (Syracuse, Utah) and his siblings Jadelyn Allgood (deceased), Kristen (Raymond) Bingham, Neca Allgood (David Moore) and her multiple nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services
- Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 21, at 11 a.m. at the Bloomington Hills Stake Center, 1130 East Brigham Road St. George, Utah 84790.
- The viewing will be held Friday, Dec. 20, from 6-8 p.m. at the Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 South Bluff Street St. George, Utah 84790, and on Saturday, Dec. 21, from 10-11 a.m. at the Bloomington Hills Stake Center.
