ST. GEORGE — At approximately noon Tuesday a rear-end collision involving two cars near Target on River Road slowed traffic for a short time as glass was scattered across the road.
A northbound gray Honda collided with the rear of a green Saturn while attempting to stop for a vehicle that was exiting the Target store parking lot, St. George Police Sgt. Rich Triplett said.
There were no serious injuries reported and no one was transported from the scene, Triplett said. Neither of the cars had to be towed from the area.
The impact caused minor damage to the rear bumper of the Saturn, while the Honda had significant damage to the front end, which resulted in glass being scattered in the roadway. The St. George Fire department responded and cleaned up the glass.
The driver of the Honda was cited for improper lookout SGPD Investigating Officer Curtis Raban said.
