WASHINGTON CITY — At approximately 4:10 p.m. Tuesday, a three-car collision occurred at the intersection of Telegraph Road and Main Street in Washington. One woman was transported to the Dixie Regional Medical Center for evaluation, the severity of her injury was unknown at the time of this report.
A silver Dodge Durango was traveling westbound on Telegraph Road and ran a red light, Washington City Police spokesman Ed Kantor said. The Durango was struck by a passenger vehicle traveling northbound on Main Street, he said.
One of the vehicles from the initial collision then spun and struck a third car that was stopped at the red light in the eastbound lane of Telegraph Street.
Kantor said he was unaware of any other factors that may have caused the driver to run the light.
The Durango and a gold sedan were both towed from the scene. The green Saturn did not require a tow truck and was driven from the scene.
The driver of the westbound vehicle was issued a citation for failure to stop at a red light.
This report is based on preliminary information provided by the police and may not include the full scope of findings.

That is a Dodge Journey not a Durango
“ran a red light…” Hahahaha…. just glad there were no other serious injuries and hope the lady taken to the hospital recovers. Sheeesh….”ran a red light”….imagine that.
@Aaron: Thanks so much for clearing up that blaring mistake. Now the article makes complete sense where before I thought it might have been a silver Dodge Durango instead of it being an actual Dodge Journey. You really know your vehicles.
My mom was the driver of the silver Dodge Journey. She was actually traveling SOUTHBOUND to the Post Office. She was hit by a girl driving WEST in a gold Toyota Camry and it spun the Dodge Journey around!
**Addition to my above comment. The driver of the SIlver Dodge Journey was NOT cited.
