ST. GEORGE — A collision happened at the intersection of 300 West and 200 North in downtown St. George today resulting in one man being transported to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
A woman driving a silver Toyota Avalon was driving south on 300 West when she ran a stop sign collided with a black Dodge Charger traveling west on 200 North, St. George Police Officer Chad Pectol said.
The driver of the Dodge Charger was taken by ambulance to Dixie Regional Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.
Neither the woman driving the Toyota Avalon nor a 3-year-old child in the car with her appeared to be injured, Pectol said. The woman was cited for a stop sign violation.
The accident disrupted traffic at the intersection for about one-half hour. The driver of the Avalon was cited for a stop sign violation.
