ST. GEORGE – The ACLU of Utah invites all interested individuals to a collaborative training and presentation in preparation for the 2014 state Legislative session.
Included in the presentation will be updates about potential upcoming legislation related to civil liberties, government transparency, the criminal justice system, public education, equality for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community, and more.
Presenters will also share tips on how to contact elected officials and how citizens can ensure that their voices are heard throughout the legislative session.

The ACLU of Utah held its first citizen lobby training in January 2013 with more than 40 citizens packed into the community room at Grace Episcopal Church. Guests urged the organization to return for a sequel.
Several other citizen advocacy groups from the Wasatch Front with join the ACLU for Monday’s presentation, including the Alliance for a Better Utah, the League of Women Voters, Planned Parenthood Association of Utah and Equality Utah.
This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided.
