ST. GEORGE – The Southwest Utah Public Health Department will be holding its annual Flu Shoot-Out for the Washington County area on Tuesday at the Red Cliffs Mall. Adults can get vaccinated without leaving their vehicles at the drive-thru service in the morning, and anyone can go inside the mall for their flu shot in the afternoon.
The drive-thru will serve adults age 18 and over from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Patients of all ages can use the walk-in service from 1-7 p.m.
Flu shots cost $18 ($25 for the nasal spray version) or are free if you are insured by Medicare, Medicaid, CHIP, PEHP, SelectHealth, Altius, DMBA, United Health or Tall Tree. Please bring your insurance card.
You can save time by downloading and printing the flu shot consent form here. Fill it out and bring it to the Shoot-Out. Also, please wear a short-sleeved shirt.
Additional Flu Shoot-Outs will be held throughout September in Beaver, Panguitch, Cedar City and numerous locations in Kane County. Flu shots are also available at any health department clinic in southwest Utah. A complete schedule can be found here.
Co-sponsors of the Washington County Shoot-Out include Dixie Regional Medical Center, the Red Cliffs Mall, the Dixie State University Nursing Program, the City of St. George, Volunteers in Police Service and the Medical Reserve Corps.
