People running red lights around here is as common as personal fouls called in football games. They both have the same result too. Hit somebody hard in an intersection, initiate life changing events, get a citation and move on. Cheapshot someone in a football game, they’re out for the season, 9 months of rehab. Get a 15 yard flag, no big deal.
Can we get stiffer penalties for blowing through a red light other than a “citation” ? How about yanking their license for a year or two for driving like an idiot. Just something to get their attention around STG would help.
When driving North on main the red light on 700 south take for ever and it will not turn green unless another car approaches the intersection from the north side of the light……
I don’t think that folks intentionally run red lights but believe they are so busy with their phones or fiddling with some other gadget that they don’t even notice a red light.
I grew up and learned to drive in southern California., and I have never seen so many people run red lights as they do here in STG. If your running late…so what. Leave earlier next time. And the intersection where this accident happened is a school zone. I have to drive it every week day. People..START PAYING ATTENTION.

Absolutely. Install cameras too. Issue those notorious California $500 fines.
Idiots. Stop running the damn lights!

Glad to he’s you stop at the red light Mark.

You still aren’t supposed to go through the red light and you still have to yield to oncoming traffic…
