ST. GEORGE – An Ivins man was arrested Thursday morning for multiple counts of retail theft.
St. George Police Sgt. Sam Despain said that early Thursday morning, Dylan Quinn Pikiavit, 21, of Ivins, was arrested on five counts of third-degree felony retail theft. The charges stem from an Aug. 23 incident in which multiple 18-packs of beer were stolen from a store.
“I guess he was thirsty,” Despain said.
On two separate occasions on Aug. 23, an individual caught on surveillance video entered a store and left with packs of alcohol without paying, Despain said. Police were given the video footage and identified Pikiavit as a possible suspect, located him this morning and subsequently arrested and booked him into Washington County’s Purgatory Correctional Facility.
Third-degree felonies carry a possibly sentencing of up to five years in prison and a fine of up to $5,000. With Pikiavit facing five third-degree counts, fines could reach as high as $25,000.
Persons arrested or charged are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law or as otherwise decided by a trier-of-fact.

Five years for a beer run?
Really stupid
The man there talking.about is my man it’s so stupid that it’s five yrs he stoll beer boo hoo thete still alot to go around promise
He sure seems to be a “frequent flyer” on the booking lists. If he’s “your man” you might want to re-think your relationship.
stealing is stealing whether its beer or a piece of candy. he broke the law and now will be punished for the bad decision he made. guess he should have just paid for that beer huh?!
Now 4 u 2 post & admit that he’s ur man..now that’s “really stupid”! a real man would not steal. if there’s plenty 2 go around..why did he steal then?
Stocking up for the holidays and, of course, the Super Bowl.
