ROCKVILLE – Yesterday afternoon’s heavy rain caused a rockslide to completely block Eagle Crags Road in Rockville.
The road is the only access, Town Clerk Elaine Harris said, to at least seven homes and several communication towers including Verizon and AWI towers. These are all completely isolated until the road is cleared.
The road should be cleared by the end of Monday, Town Council Member Jeff Ballard said.
They don’t call the town “Rockville” for no reason. The rain loosened several other large rocks that are threatening the main access road and could come down at any moment.
