UTAH – Various issues, items, themes and public figures trend on Twitter as common hashtags attached to the numerous Tweets grow in volume. Starting Tuesday, a trend built around the hashtag #UtahBands had people from across Utah and elsewhere parodying well known singer and band names that played on stereotypes of Mormon and Utah culture.
Now, for your viewing pleasure and potential bewilderment, a selection of parodied names harvested from the #UtahBands tweet tsunami :

After posting some of this own #UtahBands names like The Offspring of the FLDS, John Taylor Swift, and Choose the Righteous Brothers, KSL’s Josh Furlong tweeted: “I’ve got a #UtahBands hangover, or maybe that’s from my caffeine free diet coke.”
Even while the madness from #UtahBands has begun to die down, a new trend, #UtahMovies, started Thursday.
