July 4 – City of St. George Independence Day Celebration 2013
This all-day event kicks off with the Uncle Sam 5K Fun Run and features the United We Stand parade, catered breakfast, musical performances, family games, contests and vendor booths, culminating in a concert at the Dixie Sunbowl and massive fireworks display. July 4 – LaVerkin City Fourth of July Celebration
The fun-filled morning event features a hike through Confluence Park, parade, flag ceremony, lunch, games, races and entertainment. Most activities are free and will be held at Wanlass Park. More information can be found here.
July 4 – Harmony Valley Community Fourth of July Celebration
Celebration at the Harmony Valley Fire Station and Park begins at 7 a.m. with a flag raising and breakfast, followed by a parade, program, games and lunch throughout the afternoon, and a movie shown after dark. Full information found here: Harmony Valley Community 4th of July
July 4 – Hurricane 4th of July Festivities
Sponsored by the Lions Club, this all-day patriotic event features a breakfast, parade, softball games, concert, cake decorating, family activities and much more. July 4 – Cedar City 4th of July
A full day of activities sponsored by the Lions Club includes a parade at 9:30 a.m, patriotic music from Kick’n County 94.9, family activities at Main Street Park and fireworks at the airport at 10 p.m. Call 435-463-5501 or 435-559-4877 for more information.
July 4 – City of St. George Tennis Fourth of July Liveball Marathon
Tennis players of all ages and skill levels are invited to this morning of fast-paced games and drills, held 8 to 11 a.m. at the Tonaquint Tennis Center. Music and refreshments will be offered and participants are encouraged to wear red, white and blue. Entry costs $15. For more information, call 435-703-1146.
July 4 – Lions Club 4th of July Breakfast and Lunch

July 4-6 – Brian Head 4th of July Weekend
Weekend festivities include a pancake breakfast at the town pavilion, concert, an arts and crafts fair, entertainment, street dance, ATV rally and fireworks. Ski lifts at Brian Head Resort will be open all weekend at a discounted rate. Pizano’s Beer Garden will cater to the 21+ crowd. A full schedule of events can be found here.
July 4-6 – Tuacahn Shows
The Tuacahn Center for the Arts offers a unique theatre experience in its one-of-a-kind outdoor amphitheatre. Visitors can experience “Mary Poppins” on Friday, “Thoroughly Modern Millie” on Thursday and Saturday and “Disney’s MULAN” all three days. Both evening shows and matinées are offered. July 5 – Karl Malone Toyota Charity Golf Tournament
This second annual fundraising tournament will be held at the Entrada at Snow Canyon Country Club. Registration costs $500 for a four-player team and includes a cart, breakfast and lunch, drawing prizes and entry into contests, including “longest drive” and “beat the pro.” Teams should arrive at the club to check in at 6:30 a.m. Sign up here.
July 5 & 6 – The Duck Creek Village Independence Weekend Bash
A premier vacation destination in Southern Utah, Duck Creek Village will host a one-of-a-kind Fourth of July party featuring performances from Tommy Rocker and Most Wanted, a parade and food and drink from sponsors Gringas Tacos and the Duck On Inn Saloon. July 6 – Mayors’ Pancake Breakfast
The event is sponsored by The Core Veteran Integration Program, the City of St. George, the City of Hurricane and the Fear Not Foundation, with all proceeds benefiting the Dixie Air Force JROTC. Watch Hurricane Mayor Tom Hirschi and St. George Mayor Dan McArthur flip pancakes while enjoying breakfast, a live auction, musical performances, an address from radio personality Kate Dalley, Dixie AFJROTC drill exhibitions and activities for families, including a bounce house and climbing wall. Admission costs $10 per family. The breakfast will start at 7:30 a.m. in Vernon Worthen Park.
July 6 – Hurricane Trails River Run
This is a casual race focused on fun for all ages. Entry costs $5 and all proceeds will be donated to the Hurricane High School Cross-Country running program. Participants can register at the St. George Running Center, Classic Sports or on the day of the event. More information can be found here.
July 6 – The Famous Unknowns at Firehouse Bar & Grill
It’s party time at the Firehouse Bar & Grill on Sunset Boulevard with The Famous Unknowns, Utah’s premier show band. The concert will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Admission costs $5. Patrons must be 21 or over with valid ID. More information can be found here.
July 6 & 7 – Cedar Breaks Wildflower Festival
The Cedar Breaks Wildflower Festival celebrates the colorful array of natural plants that grace the area each summer. From July 6-21, guided hikes are offered twice daily, family activities from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. every weekend, plus self-guided walks are an option. Photography and wildlife journaling classes sponsored by the Zion Canyon Field Institute are also available. All events are held at the Visitor Center. More information can be found here.
July 7 – We Are America! Concert
Starring Jessie Funk, Dan Beck and Salamanders, this family-friendly patriotic concert benefits veterans and their families and will also contribute to the Dixie AFJROTC, who will be performing a color guard drill at the start of the show. The concert will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Cox Auditorium on the Dixie State University campus. Veterans and active military members enter for free. Regular tickets cost $10 and can be purchased here.
