Committee search for president of Southern Utah University; public input invited

CEDAR CITY – The presidential search committee for Southern Utah University will hold a series of public meetings next Thursday, May 23, on the SUU campus in Cedar City.

The meeting will provide an opportunity for Southern Utah University faculty, staff, and students, as well as the wider community to provide input to the committee as they launch the search for a new president.

Input will aid the committee in preparing a position description and in determining the key attributes and experience to consider as they screen candidates. The names of the people who have been invited to sit on the search committee will be announced in the days prior to the public meetings.

Below is the schedule for the public feedback sessions for May 23. All of the meetings will take place in the Sterling R. Church Auditorium on the SUU campus located at 351 West Center Street in Cedar City.

  • 12:15-1:15 p.m.     Faculty & Staff Constituent Group
  • 1:30-2:30 p.m.       Student Constituent Group
  • 2:45-3:45 p.m.       Alumni & Community Constituent Group

The Utah System of Higher Education includes all of Utah’s eight public colleges and universities: The University of Utah, Utah State University, Weber State University, Southern Utah University, Snow College, Dixie State University, Utah Valley University, and Salt Lake Community College.
