ST. GEORGE – Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers opened its first Utah location Tuesday at the intersection of Red Cliffs Drive and 3050 East in St. George.

“St. George will love Freddy’s fresh, cooked-to-order food and the full-service feel of our restaurants,” Operating Partner Brad Williams said. “The premium steakburgers, specialty hot dogs and made fresh throughout the day custard keep our guests satisfied with high-quality food that is hard to find these days. We also prepare Freddy’s Fry Sauce fresh each day in the store. We are excited to be in this new market area and we’re going to provide exceptional hospitality to our guests in St. George.”

The new 3,500 square-foot Freddy’s is a pad site in a shopping district also home to Costco, Home Depot, Albertsons and Sportsman’s Warehouse. In the coming years, Freddy’s plans to open nearly two dozen restaurants across the state, including several in the Salt Lake City metro area.

Founded by Redler and Bill Simon, Randy Simon and Freddy Simon, Freddy’s opened its first location in Wichita, Kan. in 2002, offering a unique combination of cooked-to-order steakburgers, Chicago hot dogs and other savory items along with its signature desserts prepared with premium frozen custard made fresh throughout the day. Freddy’s operates nearly 90 locations in 16 states and has been received high honors from Entrepreneur Magazine, Inc. Magazine, Technomics and the Wichita Business Journal.

“Freddy’s superior standards and family-friendly atmosphere are a perfect complement to the residents of St. George. We’re proud to be a part of the community,” Freddy’s Chief Operating Officer Scott Redler said. “At Freddy’s, we cook your food after you order so that it is always hot and fresh. Our management team promotes an atmosphere that feels like full-service hospitality in a quick, casual restaurant. Stop by for lunch, take the kids out for freshly made custard after a soccer game or enjoy a family dinner at Freddy’s. We look forward to serving you.”

I spent 14years in Wichita and Freddy’s was my fast food of choice. I am so excited to have it come to Utah! Nothing here has been a satisfactory replacement. Please, please, please put one in South Jorden! Near The District would be great. Lots of young families here to enjoy the frozen custard. I may have to visit St. George just to get a Freddy’s fix!
