ST. GEORGE – Two passenger cars on state Route 18 were involved in a head-on collision Tuesday afternoon. The drivers of both vehicles were transported to Dixie Regional Medical Center.
Utah Highway Patrol Cpl. Todd Johnson said one of the cars was traveling southbound on SR-18 when the driver lost control and crashed into an upcoming car in the northbound lane. The incident occurred at milepost 13.5 on the highway and was reported around 1:40 p.m.
A UHP trooper described road conditions at the time as wet with an estimated half-inch of slush on the road’s surface.
Though, both vehicles sustained “heavy frontal damage” and required towing, the drivers, both adult females, were transported to the hospital in fair condition with minor injuries.
Both lanes of travel were blocked as emergency crews responded to the accident and were eventually cleared by 3 p.m.

And WHY did the lady cross into the oncoming (obviously southbound) lane? The most important piece of information here.
it seems most “crashes” around here are caused by speeding and carelesness and majority are totally avoidable.
Why did the motorist cross the road?
To hit the oncoming vehicle?
