WASHINGTON COUNTY – Debris on the highway contributed to a rollover accident on Interstate 15 Friday evening.
Utah Highway Patrol responded to a call at 5:18 p.m. concerning a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am which had rolled over in the area of milepost 16.5 southbound on I-15.
UHP Lt. Steve Winward said that the Pontiac was traveling southbound when it hit some road debris and veered to the right, hitting the embankment and then overturning.
There were two people in the vehicle, both suffered minor injuries but none requiring medical transport.
By 6:15 p.m. lanes were cleared with the trooper remaining on scene until the vehicle could be towed.
Winward said there were no citations to be issued in connection with the accident.

Sad about the debris on the road; once I ran over a bed frame on I-15 near Midvale. Couldn’t change lanes to avoid it. I was mad.
