Best wishes to the motorcycle rider here! You really have to be driving defensively on a motor, because people just don’t see you.

  • Keep Our Freedom April 12, 2013 at 3:42 pm

As a fellow motorcyclist I hope and pray that the rider is ok and will fully recover. I ride that stretch of road all the time and there is always near misses. I have nick named it “Death Alley”

  • HiFlyer April 12, 2013 at 3:53 pm

People would see motorcyclist if they would put down their cell phones….

  • Joe Dirt April 12, 2013 at 4:17 pm

Waaay too many auto-ped and auto-motorcylcle wrecks in these parts! Get off you (explicit) phones!!!

Take in that “lovely” view of your Dixie Ambulance, you whining “Dixie-ites” cuz they shutting their doors down Sunday due to lack of commitment to the community

That is he weirdest way I have seen Barbara spelt but after your comment I fully understand. I know it’s just isn’t fun to tell the whole story. I am glad you got your jab in and it made you feel proud. Inattentive drivers are numerous around here, texting teen almost broadsided me after running a red. The penalities are paltry make them stiff and hopefully see things change!

Hope the person on the bike is ok. It can be dangerous out there on a motorcycle.

  • Roy J April 12, 2013 at 7:08 pm

An aside observation: Idling in traffic at the St George Blvd and River Road stoplight at roughly the same time this accident occurred, I watched 3 motorcyclists from the same club cut off 3 cars and across 2 lanes of traffic to get into the freeway entrance northbound! People were slamming on their brakes and these guys just didn’t care! That’s not a slam on motorcyclists or other drivers, just a daily observation. Tomorrow it will be a car cutting off 3 motorcyclists and across the same 2 lanes of traffic at the same intersection. Be careful out there, woot!

Thanks for the update, Brittany. A broken leg is bad enough. I’m glad to hear his injuries are not more serious than that. I wish him a speedy recovery!

Brittany, I think I talked to his Grandfather on Sunday. Bikers for Christ of St George is involved with the http://www.utahdownedbiker.org. It is a fund set up to help riders and families of motorcyclist involved in an accident. Not knowing his name could you pass this information to him.

  • Charles April 13, 2013 at 7:25 am

Cutting off other drivers is a driving style here. Right of Way and Yielding Right Of Way are foreign concepts here. I’ve become an aggressive driver since moving here and yes I ride too. But as long as you are not going 5+ mph over the limit everything else goes.

And being a Ped here OMG, that is living dangerously.

    • m April 14, 2013 at 7:19 am

Don’t forget exiting to the right from the far left lane! It’s shocking that this state requires driver’s ed., yet no one knows how to drive.

To the article at hand; Please start looking for motorcycles, people!

  • Dave April 13, 2013 at 3:10 pm

Just wondering if their is an update on the condition of the motorcycle rider?

  • Steven April 14, 2013 at 10:14 am

Hey this is the guy on the motorcycle. Im doing well just a broken leg Angela tell your husband thank you I appreciate all you guys did for me that day. Thanks to all of you I will be getting better soon and released from the hospital today

    • Big Don April 15, 2013 at 12:49 pm

Great news there, Steven! I don’t know you, but as a fellow biker, I’ve been praying for you.
