Inspire My Life conference educates, motivates women, benefits The Dove Center

ST. GEORGE – A new concept in motivational learning for women that combines inspirational messages from internationally-known speakers as well as special musical numbers from world-renowned artists will be presented Saturday at Dixie State University.

The conference, Inspire My Life for Women is sponsored by the Los Angeles-based R Legacy Entertainment and features presentations from pianist William Joseph, speaker and thinker Dr. David A. Christensen, author, songwriter and producer Curtis L. Jacobs, speaker Vickey Pahnke and country musicians Katherine Nelson and Charley Jenkins. Radio personality and morning show host Cindy Olson from The New FM 101.5 will serve as the conference emcee.

Through music, multidimensional staging using LED screens and educational messages tailored to inspire, motivate and teach, women will learn how to unlock the keys to a more purpose-driven life. Through positive principles, Inspire My Life is designed to illuminate the best in each individual’s lives, bring about constructive change and build stronger everyday relationships.

“Do you ever feel like your life is derailed? Perhaps you’re in need of a moment that will put you on the path toward a happier and more fulfilling life? Or maybe you’re just looking for a day out with the girls that will be fun, memorable and inspiring? This is what Inspire My Life is all about,” Inspire My Life Director Michael Christensen said.

Inspire My Life for Women will be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m at the Cox Theater on the DSU campus. Tickets are free with a $1 donation to The Dove Center for Women, a women’s shelter and advocacy center in St. George that helps women recover from domestic violence or abuse. Participants are asked to bring gently used jewelry to benefit the Dove Center’s “Reclaim the Beauty” project and donate gift cards from major retailers to help with a myriad of needs at the Center. An overnight stay at the Green Valley Spa luxury resort will be given away to the 999th person who attends the conference.

St. George is the first city in a 16-city schedule of Inspire My Life programs during 2013, which include conferences for teens, parents, families and couples. It was selected as the launch pad for this exciting new concept because of its demographics, cultural strengths and size. More information on Inspire My Life can be found on the program website.
