ST. GEORGE – An accident occurred on northbound Interstate 15 that sent one individual to the hospital and backed-up traffic for a short time.

The St. George Communications Center reported a single-vehicle accident near milepost 6 around 7:15 p.m., Monday. The driver, an adult male, reportedly experienced a seizure while the vehicle ran into a number of posts and a cable barrier before impacting the median.

The man had to be extricated from his vehicle and was transported to Dixie Regional Medical Center. The extent of any injuries sustained in the accident is unknown at this point.

Traffic on northbound I-15 was backed-up for a short while due to the accident, though the scene was eventually cleared before 8 p.m.

Perhaps you mean he had the seizure which CAUSED him to run into the posts and cable barrier? Plus, the time to clear it, from 715 to 800, doesn’t seem like “eventually” to me.

    Yes, I’m a picky editor.
