ST. GEORGE – An intoxicated man was transported to the hospital Friday after slitting his throat in front of police.
St. George Police Officer Derek Lewis said police were called to the Sinclair Gas Station at 995 E St. George Boulevard Friday afternoon and encountered an intoxicated man.
An officer administered a portable breath test and informed the male subject that he was under arrest for intoxication. The intoxicated male then produced a razor knife and started to cut his own throat.
The man was ultimately transported to Dixie Regional Medical Center with injuries that did not appear to be life threatening.
