ST. GEORGE – The Unified Police Department arrested Angel Vizuet Garcia, 55, from Draper yesterday on separate counts of child kidnapping, harboring a runaway, obstructing justice and endangering a child  in connection with the missing and found case of 13-year-old Brooklyn Gittins of Herriman earlier this month.

Unified Police received a tip that the 13-year-old had been with the suspect, Lt. Justin Hoyle said. The Department followed up on the tip and corroborated it with Gittins and later served a search warrant on Garcia’s home and arrested him.

Garcia has been booked into Salt Lake County Jail, where police have been interviewing him, and the district attorney is preparing for prosecution.
