
ST. GEORGE – The American Civil Liberties Union of Utah will provide citizen lobbyist training for all interested persons Jan. 16 at Grace Episcopal Church.
The two-hour training will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. and presented by Marina Lowe, legislative and policy counsel for the ACLU of Utah. Included is a crash course on how the Utah legislature works from a citizen’s perspective, important insider tips on how members of the public can have an impact on elected officials and an overview of the civil liberties issues the ACLU of Utah will be concentrating on during the upcoming legislative season.
Following the training, there will be a social to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Roe v. Wade.
