Michon Stratton Paddock

SANTA CLARA – Michon Stratton Paddock, 25 of Santa Clara passed away at Dixie Regional Medical Center Saturday, December 8 at about 9:30 AM. She died as a result of complications with her pregnancy.

Michon is the youngest of 4 children born to Brent and Evelyn Stratton. She was raised in Hurricane, and as a child and young woman was activein the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. She graduated from Hurricane High School. Following high school she served as a paralegal for a local law firm. She then decided to change course and received training necessary to serve as a CNA. She worked as a medical secretary/transcriptionist. Michon was competent, caring, dependable, and hard working in her chosen professions.

Michon met and fell in love with Kaden Paddock, the son of Jeff and Keri Paddock. They were married in Santa Clara, Utah in April of 2009. Michon and Kaden were very much in love, and in January of 2010 their son Karver was born. Michon was a devoted wife and mother. Recently she chose to give up her career so she could have the time to be with her husband and son. She loved to spend time with her family, including her extended family, doing a number of things like camping, four wheeling, or just being with them. Michon has many talents, a good sense of humor, and a delightful laugh. She liked to ham it up for the camera and sent a goofy picture to her sister the evening before her passing.

Michon is survived by her husband, Kaden Paddock, and their son Karver. She also leaves behind her parents, Brent & Evelyn Stratton of Hurricane, and Jeff and Keri Paddock of Washington. Other survivors include her brothers and sisters Casey Stratton, Crystal and Corey Wood, Angela and Joe Watson, Jamie and Clint Hafen, Lindsey and Travis Christy, Shawn and Amber Barney, Amber Lee Barney, and Callie
Paddock. Michon’s Grandma Evelyn Dettamanti preceded her in death by just a few weeks and I’m sure was on the welcoming committee when Michon and her baby arrived. Michon’s surviving grandparents include
Arden & Allene Stratton, Harmon & Mary Davis, Earl & Joan Paddock, and Richard Dettamanti. Michon has numerous nieces & nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles who love her, and the outpouring of love from
them and others who knew and loved Michon has been greatly appreciated.

A viewing will be held for Michon on Tuesday, December 11 at 9 to 10:30 AM with the funeral following at 11 AM. Services will be held in the Hurrricane 7th Ward chapel located at 155 East, 1050 North in Hurricane.
In her short life of 25 years Michon touched numerous lives for good. She will be sorely missed. We look forward to the time when we can be reunited with her, and meet her youngest child.
