Turkey Trot heads up City of St. George winter race schedule

ST. GEORGE – The City of St. George Races schedule for this winter kicks off tomorrow with the family-friendly Turkey Trot.

Turkey Trot – Nov. 17

Join us tomorrow at Seegmiller Farm for this amazing family fun run. The five-kilometer and one-mile race, which has no time limit, helps raise much-needed food for Dixie Care and Share. Entry costs $5, but participants who bring three canned food items will receive a ticket to the raffle draw; prizes include frozen turkeys and much more. City of St. George staff will wear outrageous costumes and everyone who attends is encouraged to do the same. Online registration is still open and on-site registration will begin at 8:15 a.m. race day.

Expedition St. George – Dec. 1

On this 50-mile team relay that loops all the way through and around St. George, teams will see the area like never before with tons of incredible scenery. Teams will consist of five people, with each individual completing a minimum of two legs. The race kicks off at the Town Square at 8 a.m. Post-relay will be a full banquet with dinner and an awards ceremony. There is no day-of-race registration, only online registration.

St. George Half Marathon and 5K and Tuff Kids Run – Jan. 19

Join us for this incredible tradition, presented by Nordic Track, now in its 31st year. Both courses, which kick off at 9 a.m., will start and finish at the Dixie Center St. George and take runners through the beautiful scenery of St. George. There will also be a Tuff Kids run at 12 p.m. Registration is only available online.

If you missed your chance to get into the St. George Marathon Runner Series, like St. George Races on Facebook and enter our contest for a chance to win an entry.
