IVINS – As friends and family of Lyle “Calvin” Hurd III grieve his death at the age of 49, arising from a rock climbing fall in Zion National Park on Oct. 26, they yet celebrate his life and invite the community to join them Saturday at 2 p.m. at Snow Canyon State Park across from the sand dunes to do the same.
The following statement was provided to St. George News by email extending the invitation:
Lyle “Calvin” Hurd III, age 49, ended his earthly adventure on October 26, 2012 doing what he loved. Lyle was an avid rock climber and outdoor enthusiast. He had a smile that lit up the world and made people love and remember him. He was constantly surrounded by friends who enjoyed his vivacious spirit and quest for adventure. Lyle was open to all that life offered. He had a great love for animals and was known to take his cat fishing.
Life Celebration will be held in Snow Canyon State Park across from the Sand Dunes on Saturday, November 3, 2012.
