Dixie Escalante: Public meeting for proposed IRP update, also Chris Stewart meet and greet

ST. GEORGE – Dixie Escalante Power will hold a public meeting Oct. 17 for the review and consideration of public comments on the proposed 2012 Update to the 1995 Integrated Resource Plan.

The IRP is a required study designed to ensure that the members of Dixie Power enjoy adequate, reliable, and least cost power supply for all future electrical loads.

The meeting will be held at 12 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 17, in the board room of Dixie Power’s St. George office at 145 West Brigham Road in Bloomington.

Also Oct. 17, at the same location, Dixie Escalante Power will be hosting a meet-and-greet for Republican congressional candidate Chris Stewart from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Stewart is running for Utah’s 2nd Congressional District, and is a New York Times best selling author of “The Miracle of Freedom” and “7 Miracles That Saved America.” He is also a world record-setting U.S. Air Force pilot, and the owner of a small Utah business.
