ST. GEORGE – Police used a taser to subdue an 18-year-old St. George man Thursday who allegedly robbed Lin’s Market and assaulted employees.
At approximately 9 p.m., St. George Police officers were called to a retail theft at Lin’s Market on Sunset Boulevard. The suspect entered the supermarket and allegedly stole beer and cough medicine. Once he left the store, he was followed by Lin’s loss prevention employees who also called the police.
The suspect then confronted the employees and began to assault them. He then ran from the scene when police arrived. Two police officers chased the man and caught him. He resisted the officers’ attempts to place him under arrest. He was warned by the officers several times that he would be stunned with a taser if he did not stop resisting. The suspect said he wouldn’t comply, and was subsequently stunned with the taser on time by an officer.
The suspect was arrested and booked for robbery, intoxication, trespassing, failure to stop for an officer and two counts of interfering with an arrest.

Beer and cough medicine? Excuse me while I briefly experience violent, uncontrollable vomiting all over my dishwasher-safe keyboard at the mere thought of consuming the two in combination.
I gained understanding after viewing the culprit’s booking photo. His facial morphology is similar to that of the Neanderthal. In other words, Tranton Begay inherited his stupidity and poor taste in beverages.
Murat, I’m surprised at your comment. I would imagine that beer and cough syrup would go together with your bong hits.
I don’t utilize bongs, idiot.
Amen Double Tap!
