ST. GEORGE – Lowe’s Store Manager, Kent Hardman presented a donation of 12 United States flags to the Patriot Guard Riders of Southern Utah today. On hand at the store to accept the donated flags was Ride Captain Dave Riggs accompanied by Patriot Guard Riders, J.R. Lehmkuhl, Dan Kelly, Doug Whetstone, Oakley Utter, Dale Moore, Richard Pettersson and Bob Raybould.

The Patriot Guard Riders use the flags at funerals for veterans or active military killed in action by forming human ‘flag lines’ to surround the family and friends of the deceased. The group also provides motorcycle escorts during funeral services for veterans and military though not all members are motorcyclists. The group is nationwide, with over 250,000 members and is made up entirely of volunteers. Since there is no budget for new or replacement flags, the Lowe’s donation is most appreciated!
