ST. GEORGE – The Southwest Utah Public Health Foundation is sponsoring their second Breathe Easy Run/Walk on Saturday, April 21, at the old St. George airport. This year there will be a 1k, 5k, or 10k option. All participants will receive a t-shirt and “goodie bag”, and prizes will be awarded to the winners.
“We’ve already seen more interest than last year,” said Steve Rossberg, Breathe Easy Race Director. “We also want people to know that this is a walk/run event for all ages and skill levels. One of the goals of the race is to help people become healthier, and this is the first race for some of our participants.”
For a chance to win two free race entries, go to Facebook.com/pages/BreatheEasy5k and comment on the contest post. Whoever gets the most ‘likes’ on their comment wins!
The Breathe Easy is co-sponsored by Stephen Wade, Hafen Buckner Everett & Graff, Spectrum Media, Hinton Burdick, St. George Running Center, Blue Bunny Ice Cream, Evolve Networks, Cherry Creek Radio Cares, Canyon Media, Road ID, Hillsports, Small Town Auto Sales, Family & Kids Magazine, The City of St. George, and the Southwest Utah Public Health Department. Proceeds will go to the Foundation for health-promoting projects in the local community.
