Utah GOP seeks caucus ambassadors

We’re looking for a few good Caucus Ambassadors.  Positions are limited.  Are you the Ambassador we’re looking for?

Under the leadership of Chair Thomas Wright, the UTGOP has created the Caucus Awareness Project.  We’ve put together a presentation to teach citizens in your area the importance of their participation in our unique form of representative democracy via the caucus system.  We are showing citizens their voice can be heard and their vote does count. The end result will be a stronger conservative Utah and America.

We are hiring Caucus Ambassadors in your area.  Here’s a program overview as well as requirements to be an Ambassador:

From Jan. 31 – March 14, the ambassador will set up presentations with companies and organizations.  Two meetings a week is the desired minimum.  There is no limit on presentations.   Our Primary target audiences are those who do not attend their caucus and or those who attend sporadically. However, having caucus attendees come and bring someone who has never been to a caucus is a fabulous idea.

We’re providing all the tools you need.  We’ve created a PowerPoint presentation with a script.  We want the Ambassadors to add their own personalities at the same time sticking to the basic outline.  We’ll lend you a laptop, projector, and screen.  Training will be provided as needed.

Decorum / Neutrality –

It’s vital that Caucus Ambassadors remain respectful to all political parties during presentations.  No debating current issues.  No commenting on specific candidates or elected officials current and or past.  We endorse and promote Republican Party affiliation; but, we do so respectfully and politely. Audiences will include a wide variety of citizenry affiliated with other parties.  As we reach our target audience, most will be unaffiliated.  By maintaining decorum as outlined, citizens will begin to more fully participate in Utah’s political process.

Public endorsement of any Republican candidate before primaries is strictly prohibited for anyone who is an authorized representative of the official Utah State Republican Party.

Therefore working on a current campaign disqualifies an individual for application.  However, general support for all Republican candidates is encouraged.

Remember, you will be a Republican Caucus Ambassador.  Your job is to encourage people to get involved in our great caucus process. Your charge is to show them they DO have a voice and their vote DOES count.

If you understand the importance of being a Caucus Ambassador and are willing to give the effort to make this campaign a success, then we need you to be a part of the team.  I look forward to hearing from you.
