ST. GEORGE – Charges were filed against the driver involved in the alleged hit-and-run of Marva Cutler in June.
An official complaint with charges of one count of failure to remain at the scene of an accident with a serious injury, a third-degree felony, and one count of failure to stay in one lane, a class-C misdemeanor, were filed in Fifth District Court on Nov. 22.
Marilu Angel, 22, the driver who allegedly hit Cutler, has been summoned to appear in court for a hearing on Jan. 3, 2012.
Marva Cutler, 59, was out jogging on South Little Valley Road on June 21 when she was hit by the alleged driver’s car which fled the scene. She was life-flighted to the University Medical Center in Las Vegas, Nev. for treatment. Cutler has since undergone multiple surgeries with doctors optimistic for an eventual recovery.
