HURRICANE – Officers arrested a 33-year-old Hurricane man after he allegedly grabbed a woman’s breast and assaulted her earlier this week.

Nancy Perkins, spokesperson for the Hurricane Police Department, said the alleged victim was visiting a friend on Nov. 22 when a male neighbor stopped by. Perkins said the man recognized the woman and yelled at her to leave. Perkins said the victim would not leave and the situation escalated.

Perkins said the man allegedly punched the woman in the arm, stole her cigarettes and grabbed her breast and twisted it.

The man was arrested on charges of assault, forcible sex abuse, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct. According to the Washington County bookings, the man paid the required bond for the sex abuse charge, $2,250, but has not made bail on the other charges.
