Man airlifted after rear-ending delivery truck

HURRICANE – A man was airlifted after rear-ending a delivery truck on State Route 9 this afternoon.

Nancy Perkins, Hurricane Police Department public information officer, said a delivery truck was stopped at the red light at 3400 West on SR-9. She said at approximately 12:30 p.m. today, a man driving a smaller vehicle, possibly a sports car, rear-ended the delivery truck.

Perkins said firefighters had to work the retrieve the man from the vehicle before he was airlifted. His name is not being released at this time and his condition is unknown.
