GLEN CANYON NATIONAL PARK, Ariz. – As the season begins to wind down, some hours of operation for Glen Canyon National Park (which includes Lake Powell) concession and partner facilities have begun to change.

The Carl Hayden Visitor Center has gone to fall hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The fee booth at Lone Rock Beach will close Oct. 8. Entrance and camping fees must still be paid using the Automated Fee Machine. However, once the fee booth is closed, launching of motorized vessels at Lone Rock is prohibited. The Stateline launch ramp is scheduled to close on Nov. 1. The boat pump-out at Stateline launch ramp will also close Nov. 1, weather permitting.

The fee booth at Antelope Point Marina, which is operated by the Navajo Nation, will be closing Oct. 30. This will mean the public launch ramp at Antelope Point will also be closed. Valet launching is still available from the marina. The Jadi’ Tooh Restaurant, Sand Bar, Gramma Betty’s and the Market Place store have already gone to reduced hours. They will be open Friday – Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Lake Powell Resorts & Marinas have closed Lake Powell Sports and the Wahweap Grille. Other services may be operating at reduced hours. Additional closures and reductions will take place November 1. You can check operating hours for specific facilities at the Lake Powell website. http://www.lakepowell.com/.

Park boaters are again reminded that all vessels launching on Lake Powell are required to have a mussel free certificate issued by a park certifier.
