IVINS – Joshua St. John was injured in a crane accident on Sept. 27 at St. George Steel. (See previous story here.)

The community rallied to the family’s support last week through a raffle opportunity at the Red Mountain Elementary School Carnival on Sept. 30.  (See that story here.)

$1,440 is reported to have been raised through the raffle for assistance of the St. John Family.

A teacher at the school, Kara Perry, said that Shannon Martineau was the winner of the iPad2 raffle prize.

As the St. John family continues to be in need, a donation fund has been established at Mountain America Credit Union in the name of Josh St. John, for those interested in making contributions.

The family’s blogspot, which is updated regularly reflects a post by his wife, Denise, yesterday indicating some improvement and a surgery scheduled for today at 1:30 p.m. with hopes that he may be taken off the ventilator after this surgery, among other things detailed in the blog.
