ST. GEORGE – St. George police responded to a call from a passerby in the Bloomington Walmart parking lot regarding a suspicious bottle with a pipe taped to the back of it.
Captain James Van Fleet said that police responded and found the bottle situated in the Bloomington Walmart area, near to Dickey’s Barbecue.
At this point, 2:30 p.m., the police have backed off as the fire department is on scene and taking control of the incident. Van Fleet said that they will x-ray the item and decide whether or not to detonate it.
It is not being called a threat or confirmed as a bomb at this time.
