ST. GEORGE – Though fire may have consumed Malibu Cleaners, the company’s owner wants customers to know Malibu is still in business and ready to serve.
The Hilton Drive location caught on fire last night after lightning struck the roof. Firefighters worked for several hours to put out the flames.
Marilyn Spafford, the owner of Malibu Cleaners, said that she and her employees will “do everything possible to accommodate customers to the fullest.”
Dry cleaning service will continue at Malibu Cleaners’ location in Washington City at 1086 West Red Cliffs Drive. An additional drop off station can be found at Fabulous Freddy’s on River Road.
A trailer will also be set up at the Hilton Drive location in order to continue serving customers in that area.
Spafford said that her customers in the Hilton Drive area have been great and that she appreciates their business and asked for their patience in the fire’s wake. She also noted that, while the turn-around on cleaning may be a day or two behind due to the fire, Spafford said that things would quickly be brought back up to speed.
