Hurricane crushes Tooele

The Hurricane Tigers rushed for five rushing touchdowns in a 52-7 win over the Tooele Buffalos. The Tigers rushed for a total of 303 yards. Brian Scott ran for 109 yards and three touchdowns. Jared Edwards add 54 yards on the ground and a score. Adam Thompson scored the other rushing touchdown.

Zach Prince threw for a touchdown, as he is still filling in for the injured Taylor Parker who was only allowed to punt for the second straight game. Prince’s touchdown pass found Weston Yardley right before half time to put the Tigers up 29-0.

The Tiger defense also got involved by scoring on a 27-yard fumble recovery by Robert Terrazas. The Tigers had the Buffalo’s quarterback pressured all night, making him rush his throws and only pass for 32 yards and being sacked three times.

Hurricane looks to keep things rolling when they open Region play Friday night against Cedar.

I’m looking forward to two games, Pine View and Hurricane but most of all Desert Hills and Hurricane. I think a healthy Hurricane squad is untouchable.
