Playing two quarterbacks, Pine View stormed past Salem Hills 34-11 Friday night.
Freshman Kody Wilstead threw for 245 yards and two touchdowns. Wilstead was 8-14 passing with both touchdowns passes over 50 yards. Starting quarterback Braxton Peterson threw for the other passing touchdown.
Jake Arslanian found the end zone three times, he caught touchdown pass from both quarterbacks and the other was a 70-yard punt return. Arslanian finished the game with seven catches and 200 yards receiving.
Running back Prentiss Miller was a work horse rushing for 113 yards on 21 carries. Peterson rushed for 65 yards, bring the Panther total offense to gain 450 yards on the night.
The Panther defense forced five turnovers and had five sacks holding the Sky Hawk offence to only 25 yards rushing.
“The Rivalry” is next week as the Panthers host the 3-0 Flyers, Friday night at 7 p.m.
