Officers Looking for Robbery Suspect in St. George Home Burglary

Police are searching for Lonnie Unruh in connection to a home burglary.

ST. GEORGE – Officers are looking for a robbery suspect in connection to a burglary that occurred in the Artesia subdivision last week.

Lonnie Unruh, 34, is currently wanted by the police in connection the case. On Monday, officers charge Colter Maggard, 24, in relation to the burglary.

Officer Johnny Heppler said Unruh and Maggard allegedly broke into the residence in Artesia while the homeowners were out of town. Approximately $20,000 in property was stolen including three motor scooters, various tools, miscellaneous electronics, and a variety of other household items such as furniture and artwork.

Detectives followed evidence linking Unruh and Maggard to the burglaries and obtained a search warrant for a residence at 1394 N. 2020 W. in St. George. Detectives located multiple items of stolen property inside the residence.

Maggard was already confined in purgatory for drug charges by another agency. Detectives added the charges booking him on burglary and theft, Heppler said.

Unruh is still wanted by Detectives for questioning in this case, Heppler said.
