Red Flag Fire Warning Issued for Utah’s Dixie Through Monday

SOUTHERN UTAH – The National Weather Service issued a Red Flag Fire Warning for Southern Utah today just after 1 p.m.

According to their advisory notice, the warning will stay in effect until after 10 p.m. Monday evening due to gusty winds and low humidity. The advisory was issued for Utah’s Dixie below 6,000 feet, Zion Canyon and South Central Utah below 6,000 feet

Winds are expected at 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. Humidity levels are expected to be less than 10 percent this afternoon and below 15 percent tomorrow, according to the advisory.

A Red Flag warning means critical weather conditions are occurring now or will shortly.
