ST. GEORGE – SkyWest and the city of St. George will be hosting the 11th annual Mini Indy charity event. It will take place at the former St. George airport on Friday, March 25th. The activities start at 10:00 a.m.
The public is welcome to watch as 37 go-cart teams compete for the coveted Mini Indy Championship. Theses specially designed go-carts are capable of racing around the tarmac at speeds approaching 30 miles per hour.
There are many fun activities leading up to the races. Including a golf tournament, barbecue cook off, pit crew competition and more.
The event is geared up to raise money for local charities. In the past, the annual event has raised almost one million dollars for charities in the area, including the SkyWest Scholarship Fund and the United Way Dixie.
