IVINS – Kayenta’s 12th Annual Art in Kayenta Festival at Coyote Gulch Art Village in Ivins has opened this morning, despite the rain.

Deborah Kidder, Event Coordinator, says the “music is playing, food vendors are vending, and we’ve got fires!”  She also says that she “has it on good authority that the rain is going to stop early afternoon.”
This Art Festival is growing in attention every year, exhibiting a broad spectrum of artists offering work in acrylic, watercolors, oils, bronze sculptures, fused glass, gourd art, mosaics, photography, metal art, jewelry, pottery and more.  Kidder says that they are featuring about 100 artists.
New to the Festival this year is a jury, judging the artists’ work.   As we go to press with this, the Jury is judging so no awards can be reported.
Raincoats on!  Kayenta is a beautiful setting for this Art Festival.  Coyote Gulch Art Village is located at 875 Coyote Gulch Court in Ivins, UT  84738.
