ST. GEORGE – Perks! Espresso & Smoothies is holding a fundraiser this Saturday for the Wounded Warrior Project.
Perks! owner Lori Hanna said the Cash for Gold party is usually a commission-based event, however, all proceeds will benefit wounded warriors.
“Perks! tries to provide a local charity fundraising event once a month throughout the year,” Hanna said. “The Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org) is a tremendous group filling the gap of support for both the soldier and their families dealing with the complications arising from service. We are passionate about ministering to our service men and women in any manner we can, and believe providing funds to this cause will be well invested.”
Everyone is invited to bring their unwanted or broken gold jewelry and other items that might be gold. Items will be tested for gold contest and cash paid on the spot St. George Jewelers.
The event will be held Saturday, February 19, 3 to 6 p.m. at Perks!, 1515 West Sunset Boulevard, St. George.
