ST. GEORGE – Officers arrested a 21-year-old St. George man for kicking the window of a police car, knocking it off its track.
Officer Johnny Heppler said around 1:30 a.m. today, officers made a traffic stop for unsafe lane travel on Sunset Boulevard. The driver was given standard sobriety tests and officers arrested him for a DUI.
After being placed under arrest, the driver allegedly became combative and kicked the window of the officer’s vehicle. The man then tried to escape through the window, Heppler said.
The man was charged with improver lane travel, DUI – 2nd offense, disorderly conduct, escape from custody and damage to the officers vehicle, a 3rd degree felony.
