ST. GEORGE – It didn't take long for the Lady Warriors varsity soccer team to jump out with a lead on the Payson Lions in the first state playoff game Tuesday.
With two first-half goals, it put the Payson Lions in a hole they just couldn't seem to come out of.
The second half added one more goal for the Warriors, making the final score 3-0 over the Payson.
The Lady Warriors will now play Thursday at home in round 2. Game begins at 4 p.m.
