My name is Doug Radunich, and I had recently applied for the open journalistic reporter position. I have a bachelor’s degree in journalism and broadcasting, and have written for several newspapers all around Utah. However, I was wondering if the position was full-time, or if it was only part-time or freelance. Any information would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Doug

Mr. Radunich, we are pleased to have received your application. I have replied to you by email. Thank you so much.
I will forward you the material requested for the position, though it seems like a copious amount for an email attachment. The question I have is, “Do you employ proofreaders?” Notice the advertisement to the right for “Doge” the picture is of a truck not a Venetian magistrate. Either the picture is wrong or your advertising people (not to mention the car dealer) do not check their work. Just saying. . .
I’m retired and bored. How much would I have to pay you to work there?
So do you really have an opening? If so, might help to post it NEW and eliminate all the old comments from ages ago. I actually looked at this the other day and thought it was an old thing that just needed deleting.
We do. And we don’t typically delete comments. The information on the Employment Opportunities page, however, changes as our needs change.
“AP style” ??…..no thanks. I value my privacy.
Hello,
My name is Chris and I am currently a student at Dixie State University of Utah in St. George. I am considering applying for the St. George News as a journalist but I was wondering if you have any bias towards movie and books reviews (I would be a critic in other words) as I wrote an article for one or both categories every month for three years when I was in high school. I currently have no other work though I will be applying here and there where I can and thought about applying for this to write the reviews I wrote in High School once again.
Thank you,
Christopher Cleveland
I’ve been trying to find information on any openings for something like freelance photographers on your team. I run a computer repair service, which does not allow me a full time position, but does allow me complete flexibility with my schedule. I have 3 years of a portfolio, sports, event, family, etc. Should I still
apply?
