ST. GEORGE — When faced with three doors for the “Big Deal” prizes on the set of “Let’s Make a Deal,” Jessica Feuerstine picked the second door despite her fiancé in the audience urging her to pick the third door.

Feuerstine, a Hurricane resident who was a contestant on the game show, won a $5,900 dining-room set with a rug, table and six chairs after opening the second door. While her prize was well worth it, she said she wished she listened to her fiancé.

“I would have won a hot tub and a trip to Australia if I would have chosen door No. 3, but I got the dining room table,” Feuerstine said.

Her jackpot from the show also included a $6,000 diamond ring after turning down $1,000 in cash from the show’s host, she said. The episode of “Let’s Make a Deal” that featured Feuerstine was taped in California in July and aired Monday morning on CBS.

“Everyone from my high school and a whole bunch of people started texting me and sending me pictures of myself on TV and were like ‘I know that girl,'” she said. “Yup, that was me.”

The entire experience of being on a game show made her feel outgoing and was “downright fun,” she said.

Feuerstine was picked to be on the show after an audition over Skype. She traveled to California with her fiancé to participate in the show and wore a shirt that read “We’re pregnant” while competing.

“I’m a blonde, so my brain doesn’t work, and with my pregnant brain, it doesn’t work even more,” Feuerstine said with a laugh.

Feuerstine recorded the episode of her competing in “Let’s Make a Deal,” so she’s looking forward to watching the episode with her fiancé Monday evening. The episode can also be viewed online.
